Timeline of Availability Display

Last updated 2 years ago

Example

Phase 1: Item Sold Out

You just added a new product to your store / or you just sold the last item and did not reorder yet. Your On Stock QTY is 0 and you did not add any restock time.

The Flag "Abverkauf" is set to yes so you don't allow any backorders.

Phase 1 --> 2: Coming Soon active

After deciding that you want to reorder the product, you place an order at your Vendor / Supplier. You have an orderdate (in that example 01.01.2025) and a Leadtime when you expect the product to arrive back in your warehouse.

You then add the Qty of your Purchaseorder to the

The Orderdate (01.01.2025) + Leadtime (30 days) = Availability date (31.01.2025)

After placing the order and adding the qty, you then can decide if you want to Presale the Product or if you want to display a "Coming Soon" Info instead.

Phase 2 (optional): Coming Soon

If you decided not to presale your product right away, you can activate the "Coming Soon" function.

You can display any text that you want. The "buy - button" is disabled and customers cannot buy the Item.

Phase 2 --> 3: Presale active

You can add a Presale Startdate on the Item. There are two Options:

  1. Set Presale date manually: You can add a manual Presale Startdate on the Item.

  2. Set Presale Startdate automatically: You can define a timeframe (in days) when the presale should start. E.g. 4 weeks prior to the availability date.

    The calculation is: Availability Date - Presale Period (days) = Presale Startdate

After Adding the date / the days, the Presale Button will be active, customers can order the Product. You will receive them as backorders in your system. Note: The Presale Logic only works for stock items (clearance sale = true)

Phase 3: Presale active

Before the item is back on stock, the item can be ordered by the customer as a preorder.

Phase 3 --> 4: Item back on stock

As soon as the availability date is past, the item is considered as "back on stock" and will show as an "in stock Item" in the storefront. The customer will see the default "buy button".

Note: Don't miss out on keeping the availability date up to date if your leadtime changes or if you have issues in your supply chain after reordering the product.

Phase 4: Item on Stock

The customers will see the default "Buy - Button".
